ABOUT THE ATTORNEYS

David S. Bross and Richard L. Frankel are trial attorneys in private practice, who concentrate in Social Security Disability/SSI claims, Veterans Benefits, and disability insurance (LTD) claims.*  The firm maintains offices in Cherry Hill, Mount Holly, and Philadelphia, along with “satellite” offices at other locations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  The attorneys have represented thousands of satisfied clients over the years, litigating numerous cases throughout the tri-state region (New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania).

*Bross & Frankel also represents individuals in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.

Mr. Bross has been licensed in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania since 1981. Before opening his own office in 1995, Mr. Bross was the chief New Jersey partner for 10 years for the civil litigation firm of Marks, Feiner, Fridkin & Bross. Mr. Bross was formerly a Benefit Authorizer for the Social Security Administration, and has utilized his experience to compile an outstanding record of success representing clients before the Social Security Administration.

Mr. Bross is a sustaining and active member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), the New Jersey chapter of the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA), and various county associations. Mr. Bross has served as an insurance arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and the court-administered arbitration programs in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Philadelphia counties. He is also a certified arbitrator for the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey (federal court), where one of his recent victories against a long-term disability insurer was published in the New Jersey Law Journal.

Mr. Bross speaks frequently on disability and insurance issues to various local support groups as well as to physicians and attorneys. He most recently lectured on Social Security Disability/SSI issues to other attorneys on behalf of the National Business Institute. He has been selected by his colleagues as one of South Jersey’s “Top Attorneys” (SJ Magazine), and has been voted by the readership of South Jersey Magazine as an “Awesome Attorney” in each of the past 10 years. He also has written a regular column for the Camden and Burlington County Woman newspapers for the past 10 years.

Mr. Bross volunteers his time, resources, and expertise to a number of local charitable and service organizations, including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Arthritis Foundation, and various veterans’ groups. He is proud to have worked for Trial Lawyers Care, providing free legal services to victims of the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attack.

Richard L. Frankel

Richard L. Frankel joined the firm as an associate in 2005 and became a partner in July 2010.  A sustaining member of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA) and a member of NOSSCR, Mr. Frankel oversees the firm’s Veteran’s claims practice. He is also a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars, and is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.  Mr. Frankel additionally oversees the firm’s appellate practice, obtaining frequent victories in Social Security appeals from the Appeals Council and against the U.S. Attorney’s office, which represents the Social Security Administration in federal appeals.  Mr. Frankel also speaks on disability benefits issues to various groups and other attorneys.  Most recently, Mr. Frankel presented a day-long seminar on Social Security benefits to other attorneys on behalf of the National Business Institute.  Additionally, Mr. Frankel authored a chapter of a guide for attorneys interested in representing veterans: Navigating Legal Issues for Military Veterans, in which he discusses the representation of veterans in compensation and pension claims.  The book is available at Amazon and other popular retailers.  An excerpt from Mr. Frankel’s chapter is available as a free download here: Inside the Minds Excerpt.

Mr. Frankel graduated with honors from the University of the Arts and is a 2005 graduate of the Temple University Beasley School of Law.  Mr. Frankel participated in the Beasley School’s nationally acclaimed “Integrated Trial Advocacy Program” and was the founding president of the law school’s chapter of the American Constitution Society.  Mr. Frankel was also a Certified Legal Intern at the Temple Legal Aid Office, where he successfully represented clients in Social Security/SSI cases.   He is also an accomplished musician who plays jazz trumpet and keyboard. He resides in Media, PA with his wife and daughter.

 

 

Faith S. Steinberg
Faith S. Steinberg is of counsel to the firm. Also a trial attorney, she is licensed in the New Jersey state and federal courts. Ms. Steinberg has over 20 years of trial experience, including over five years as house counsel for Prudential Insurance Company. She was formerly a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Social Security Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s office in Newark.

Mrs. Steinberg is a graduate of Douglass College in New Brunswick and Touro Law School in New York. She resides locally with her husband and two children.
